St Peters Fish and drive round Sea of Galilee DAY 9

14.27 and lunch was served.
I think they must have gone out to catch the fish the time it took, but well worth the wait.
14.40 "Can we see a raw one please?"
Fish decides to be difficult and won't let John put a coin in it's mouth
"That's not how it's done" says the waiter and moments later
15.08 A few of us decide to go swimming in Galilee.
Now don't forget to take those hotel towels back.

Back to our hotel for our final evening meal together, stopping on the way in Nazareth where a number of us went to buy Arabic sweets.

Tabgha DAY 9

11.54am Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes, sadly the photo of the beautiful mosaic that recalls how Jesus miraculously fed a throng of 5000 with but two fishes and five loaves hasn't turned out very well. 11.55am

12.29 Having walked down the hill to this church, the story of Jesus' resurrection appearance to the disciples, the catch of fish, and breakfast on the beach didn't seem possible at this place until we left the church turned the corner and there was the beach, and you could just imagine it taking place here.

Yigal Alon Centre, Kibbutz Ginosar DAY 9

10.18am The 1st century boat discovered in 1968 by two brothers from Kibbutz Ginosar. After excavation and many years of the long convervation process the boat was finally moved to its permanent home in the Yigal Allon Centre in the year 2000

While driving back to Nazareth close to Lebanon, John recounting a story of fundamentalists of some kind in Lebanon "No make-up was allowed for women" (pause) "and I suppose for men too, for that matter!". Well now we know.
