Jerusalem in afternoon DAY 4

A lovely lunch break at the Kibbutz over, now back for our afternoon sights
13.46 Someone might remember where this wastaken at 13.48
Ancient Steps that Jesus would have walked on. 14.00 St Peter in Gallicantu, this surrounds the High Priests house in Jesus' time. 1400
Where prisoners were kept and strung up 14.06
inside the church 14.22
Josie's disappeared, no she's flat on her back, but was it worth the effort?

Josie showing off her new purchase, really putting it under your hat whatever next! Just wait till she's in GalileeVery likely the place where Jesus was taken out to the crowds and they shouted 'Crucify Him' 14.58

15.02 you can just imagine the steps going up here
Place of the Skull at 15.49
Overheard by Jean, Guide at the Garden Tomb making arrangement with John for communion
"The wine will be grape juice"
1st member of our party unaware of the context
"I'd prefer Coke."
2nd member
"I'll have tea."
16.10 Waiting to see inside Garden Tomb. Obviously this wasn't the place where Jesus' tomb was but it is typical of what a tomb was like in those days. A kind unknown lady offered to take a photo of us, she stayed with our group and had Holy Communion with us in an area that the guide took us to.
Anne coming out of the Garden Tomb
Inside the tomb at 16.20, not really worth the photos as you can't see anything, but there again what's to be seen 'HE IS RISEN'
The Wine Press
see where the juice would flow down. 16.25
This is such a beautiful and peaceful place. Sadly on leaving here about 17.30 Colin had his wallet stolen by a street seller outside, this being the second robbery in our group that day.

Back to hotel for evening meal and to pack for transferring in the morning.
